Most people eat unhealthily, these days, (especially those who cannot say no to food), even those who are calorie counters because they do not always eat the correct foods anyway. The type of person who will always eat the leftovers of someone’s meal and finish the pie that’s been sitting around for a week. A bit of cake here, some cookies there, leftover pie, as soon as you see it, you have to have it. Health supplements are forbidden words to many people as they really cannot see the need.
That may have been rather vivid but I would never encourage people to consume anything and everything. Perhaps it’s time you started thinking about looking after yourself with some health supplements. Before you say no, just think about the benefits these supplements can bring to your long term health and happiness. The worst thing is when people who have never tried them say how awful they taste.
I have always been a believer of trying something before I say I don’t like it. These days, the types of health supplements on offer have been designed to give you all the good and none of the bad. It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn’t either. Often these people do not care hold old the item is, they just don’t want to see it wasted. Many people have a very sweet tooth, preferring cakes, cookies and candy. It is a well known fact that before any type of fitness training it is necessary to carry out some simple warm up moves so there is less chance of injury. Exercising can be further improved by learning some other points related to this. Firstly, stretching should be carried out because it improves the flexibility of muscles and joints prior to and after a workout. Ok so none of what I have said so far is a secret but you would be amazed how many people do not do it but were you aware that you should also continue this stretching at the end of a workout as the muscles are warm and more flexible.
Hold your stretching position for more than 60 seconds to increase flexibility, because although holding your position for 20 seconds is enough for warm ups; holding each position for at least 60 seconds will develop the body’s flexibility. When carrying out these warm-up stretches, perform them slowly and gently, returning to the starting position in the same way as this will provide the greatest benefit. By hold the stretched position for several seconds, and then slowly relaxing means you can do this exercise repeatedly, but bouncing or forcing yourself into a position during stretching can strain or damage some joints or muscles. Do not jump from an easy stretching exercise to a hard one, but complete the easiest first and do the hardest last as by this time most of your muscles will be warm and it will make the difficult exercise easier.
Another neglected area to stretch and warm up is the neck, it’s amazing how many people forget even though it is not difficult to do, in fact all it requires is the palm of the hand being placed on the forehead and pushing against it; this can be repeated for the back and sides. Stretch regularly before fitness training to continually increase your range of movements and your level of flexibility and strength. Do not overstretch your self performing exercises you are not yet ready for just because there are others who can as this will cause further problems; work to your own pace. Remember there will be days when your body will perform better than others; this is quite normal and should be expected as even top sportsmen have good and bad days so why should you be any different.
Every athlete knows that muscles need to heal and grow from physical exertion so give yourself a day off between fitness training and exercising; your body will appreciate it. Aerobic exercises are very good for the health of your heart and improve lung capacity and lower the heart rate; look to carry out rowing, running, skipping for example before you start attacking the weight machines.
